Development Journey
Everyone, no matter their past experience with Chick-fil-A, will start out as a team member. This roles takes at least 30 days to learn.
Working in this role allows you to understand the standards by which we operate. This will help further your development as you will know your team better by understanding their needs and the needs of the business.
After working as a team member for at least 30 days, and we see you representing our store well, you will be able to apply to become a Trainer. Development in this role takes at least 2 months.
You will be given tasks that help us improve our CEM scores, team environment, and help keep us up-to-date on any training requirements
After at least 30 days of being in a Certified Trainer, those who have shown extreme leadership and character may apply to become one of our team leaders. Development into this roles takes at least 1 month
Team leads run the day to day shifts - helping count drawers, handle guests situations, work alongside their team to help meet our goals, and ensure the store runs smoothly.
After showing intentional dedication and care for their role of Team Lead, one may be asked by a director to help with behind the scenes tasks for the business. Development into this role takes at least 1 month.
Tasks such as obtaining all uniform requests, helping create lists and surveys, sitting down with new hires, and more can be given to Team Leads for an additional position and work as an Advanced team lead
Assistant Director position opportunities are provided to the Advanced team leads of 4 months who have shown they understand the job, culture, and vision behind Chick-fil-A as a brand. Development into this role takes at least 2 months
Mike and the director team select this candidate and walk with them through developing external skills in one department of the store. Roles such in culture, training, FOH/BOH, people, and Drive Thru can be taught to this candidate
The Business Director position is promoted to the Assistant Directors who have shown Mike that they are capable of developing people, systems, reaching goals set before them, and strong self-accountability. Development for this role takes at least 2 months
Mike is the only one who promotes Directors after they have shown him they are bought into his store here at Terrill Road.
The Journey from team member to director can take 6-12 months
